In the center of the table, place the Rings and form a triple Venn diagram. Designate one player to be "The Knower." The Knower knows the different logic rules for each Ring and will facilitate the game. All other players start with a hand of five object cards.

Depending on the Ring, the logic rules will be related to different characteristics, like spelling, grammar, physical properties, cultural relevance, or industry.

On your turn, place an object card from your hand into the Venn diagram. If it fits that ring's rules, place another card. If it doesn't fit the rules, "The Knower" moves the card to the right area. The player then draws another card.

The point of the game is to get rid of all of your cards. Can you figure out the Rings' logic before your opponents? Don't forget, you can play in the overlapping spots of the Venn diagram, or even outside it completely!

In more detail, each player builds a stained glass window by building up a grid of dice on their player board. Each board has some restrictions on which color or shade (value) of die can be placed there. Dice of the same shade or color may never be placed next to each other. Dice are drafted in player order, with the start player rotating each round, snaking back around after the last player drafts two dice. Scoring is variable per game based on achieving various patterns and varieties of placement...as well as bonus points for dark shades of a particular hidden goal color.

Special tools can be used to help you break the rules by spending skill tokens; once a tool is used, it then requires more skill tokens for the other players to use them.

The once-famous island of Coven Cove hasn’t seen a real witch in over 100 years, until now. Be it a mistake, or fate, you have awakened your magic and are now bound to the island. While the cozy town is full of fascinating characters willing to help, none can undo this. You must venture out into the wilds to explore the ruins of what the witches left behind. Perhaps you’ll find answers, or maybe, you’ll discover being a witch isn’t so bad. You will find, however, danger around every corner, as the island keeps a dark secret.

Dance of Ibexes, which was first released as Tanz der Hornochsen! ("Dance of the Horned Oxen") challenges players to place their ibexes/cows on the game board without being pushed over the edge.

Players start with a random assortment of numbered tiles in hand. The game board depicts multiple rows that will hold tiles, with the rows being of varying lengths and with symbols in some spaces. Draw four tiles at random, and place one in the leftmost space of each of the first four rows.

Each round, each player selects and reveals a tile at the same time. Tiles are placed on the board in order, from lowest to highest, and which row a tile is placed in is determined according to these rules:


Lowest number: If the played tile's number is lower than that of the end tile of all four rows, place this tile at the end of the row with the highest number.
Increasing number value: The number on the tile must be higher than the number on the tile that is currently the last tile in that row, but...
Smallest difference: The tile must be placed at the end of the row where there will be the smallest difference between it and the tile currently at the end of that row. All four active rows must be examined to determine which has the smallest difference.


When a player places a tile on a negative space/cowpie, they score that many points, moving their pawn that many spaces on the score track. (If any of the active rows has an uncovered "Happy Cow" space, the player loses points instead of gaining them.)

When a player places a tile on the final space at the end of a row, that row is completed, and the player must execute the following actions in order:


Score penalty points as shown on the final space by moving their pawn on the score track.
Move the just-played tile to the first space of the next unoccupied row.
Remove the remaining tiles from the completed row. Choose one or two to keep behind their player screen, then place the remaining tiles in the box or off to the side as they will not be used for the remainder of the game.


At the start of a round, players can purchase 1-3 random tiles from the supply at a cost of 1 point per tile. (If someone plays their final tile in a round, they immediately draw six tiles for free.) A player can have at most nine tiles on hand. If a double play space is uncovered in an active row, then players must play and reveal two tiles. Twice during the game, when a player passes a specified point on the score track, in the next round players reveal their tile choices face up in order from fewest points to most points.

When a player reaches the end of the score track or no tiles remain to be purchased, finish the round, then the player with the fewest points wins.

Big Shot is an auction game in which a set of colored cubes is put up for auction each round based on a random die roll. Whoever wins the bid, places those cubes in areas on the game board. Once an area has seven cubes in it, that area is locked and no more cubes can be added. Whoever has the majority of cubes in that area owns it — except that ties for majority are disregarded, so in a spread of 3/3/1 cubes, the player with only one cube owns that area!

NOTE: Compared to the former Das Störrische Muli edition, this one is for 2–5 players instead of 3–5 and you have one more die and therefore more choices and some other movement.

The game is quite simple and definitely family fare. Players race mules and men to the end of the track and back. However, it has some interesting features, particularly in the determination of the winner. Depending upon the number of players, in addition to the mules, there are 1 - 3 men in the race, each of a unique color. Each player guides a mule. On a turn, three color dice are rolled and the appropriate tokens moved forward. If two of the same color are rolled, then that token moves backwards one space. But if all three dice show the same color, this mule runs three spaces ahead. Simple enough so far.

The twist is that the next player may opt to keep intact one or two of the dice and only roll the remaining ones. This subtle rules twist allows for some 'catch-up' ability, as well as some nice hoseage as it makes it possible to move one player's token on several consecutive turns if all players keep that color intact. This may sound like a good thing for the affected player, but in reality being the first to cross the finish line is NOT always the best occurrence. What? Well, the game has a very clever mechanism to determine the winner.

If you are the first player to have your token cross the finish line, then you only win if the last piece remaining on the track is a man piece. Otherwise, if the final piece remaining is a mule, then that player is the winner! So, you have to make a judgment during the game as to whether you want to try to finish first or last, then attempt to move the other pieces accordingly.

The game includes larger "master" book cards in a six colors, as well as smaller books in these six colors. To set up, each player draws ten books from the bag, then places them in a row in front of themselves in the order drawn. Shuffle the six master cards, then lay them out in a row, e.g., red, light blue, gray, brown, yellow, dark blue. Shuffle the deck of action cards, with each player getting a hand of five cards.

Ada's Library differs from Phoenix in two ways. First, it includes only four books of each color whereas Phoenix had five pawns of each color. Second, in Phoenix, a complete game lasted three rounds, and players scored points at the end of each round based on whether they went out, had a pawn of each color, and had 3-5 pawns of a color in a row on their display. Whoever had the most points after three rounds won.
