2-5 players represent Leaders of powerful houses and try to conquer (and keep!) as many fortresses over 3 game rounds or 12 player turns as possible. You do this by commanding 3 armies across a tactical map by selecting action cards from your hand. Recruit units, conquer fortresses and defeat opponents in battles.
After 3 rounds the player with the most victory points in form of controlled fortresses wins the game.

In three rounds with four turns each you move your armies accross a battlefield with three different terrain types. Each turn you can move, conquer or ambush your enemies. However, in battle you can only use the battle cards that fit your current terrain type. So you will constantly need to adapt your strategy to your current hand cards. You aim to conquer as many fortresses as you can. Everytime they change hands their value increases. After three rounds (12 turns) the player with the most valuable fortresses wins the game.
"Yield" is a fast-paced area control game with asymmetric powers where 2-5 players try to outsmart their opponents with clever actions.
