Chaque joueur prend 2 jetons Rose et les place face cachée devant lui. Il prend également ses 2 cartes de score, à garder de côté pour plus tard. Un joueur est ensuite désigné comme donneur : il mènera le premier pli… et ouvrira la danse !
À chaque pli, chaque joueur joue d’abord une carte de sa main, puis une carte parmi celles face visible devant lui. Autrement dit, quatre cartes sont jouées à chaque pli : deux depuis les mains, deux depuis les cartes visibles sur la table. La partie se poursuit ainsi jusqu’à ce que les dix plis aient été joués. À la fin de la manche, les joueurs marquent des points en fonction des cartes remportées pendant les plis. Pour gagner un pli, il faut jouer la carte de plus grande valeur correspondant à la couleur de la première carte jouée.
Le premier joueur à obtenir deux Roses remporte la partie !
REMARQUE : Cette nouvelle édition est identique à la première version de Tango, mais elle est proposée dans une boîte plus compacte.
