In Valencia, 2–5 players take on the roles of influential trading families in medieval Spain, competing over five rounds to gain dominance in the city. Each round, you build a hand of numbered cards that determine your bidding power — which you then use in a series of auction phases to win goods, positions in the city council, and valuable locations. Winning bids earn resources and allow you to place meeples (workers) in the city. These placements and the construction of wells, palms, and other structures give points and help fulfil secret objectives. Balancing your bidding choices, strategic placements, and goal fulfilment determines your success as the most influential family in Valencia.
